About The Position
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Kansas City is seeking a Spiritual Counselor to help men rebuild their lives through faith, structure, and compassionate guidance. This is a full-time (2nd-shift) opportunity providing hope, healing, and spiritual support to individuals overcoming addiction, homelessness, and other life challenges.
Requirements
- A strong personal faith and desire to help others experience God’s grace
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must pass all applicable background checks
Nice To Haves
- Counseling, case management, or ministry experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and group spiritual counseling sessions
- Lead devotionals, journaling groups, and Bible-based recovery discussions
- Develop and manage individualized rehabilitation and spiritual growth plans
- Maintain detailed case notes and progress reports in our Service Point system
- Collaborate with program staff and community partners to support beneficiary success
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ministry development
