About The Position

The Spiritual Care Director is responsible for providing for the spiritual and emotional needs of residents, families, and staff. This role involves developing and executing strategic plans, including budget development and management. The Director serves as a resource for residents and families, consulting on difficult ethical decisions such as preparing advanced directives. They also provide support to those facing the end of life and offer bereavement resources. Additionally, the Director educates staff and volunteers on the importance of spiritual care in health and healing.

Requirements

  • One (1) to three (3) years of active ministry in a church or healthcare setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in theology or related field.
  • Theological understanding and respect towards all faith expressions.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of at least one (1) to four (4) units of clinical pastoral education at Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) or National Association of Catholic Chaplains approved centers.
