About The Position
The Spiritual Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating pastoral support services for patients and families in hospice and palliative care programs. The role provides direct pastoral services, coordinates spiritual support with patients’ and families’ requested religious affiliations, documents clinical contacts and patient information, enters clinical data into the MISYS database, and maintains updated intake reports.
Requirements
- Knowledge of and ability to perform Islamic End of Life ministry.
- Bachelor's diploma from an accredited college.
- Divinity degree required.
- Minimum of one year of post-graduate experience in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication, listening, and organizational skills.
- Strong teaching and public speaking abilities.
- Ability to input clinical data proficiently.
Nice To Haves
- Valid New York State driver's license preferred.
