About The Position

Concentra, a leading healthcare company, is seeking an orthopedic spine surgeon for an on-site, 1099 independent contractor role. This position is designed to complement your existing practice, involving approximately 4-hour shifts on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. As an Advanced Specialist, you will manage medically complex patients, facilitate their return to work, and aid in functional restoration. Collaborating with medical and therapy providers, you will offer both non-surgical and surgical expertise for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries. Your role will also include communicating with employers and actively participating in case management, significantly impacting the lives of patients seeking care and comfort.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
• Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Spine Surgery
• Must have Medical Malpractice Insurance which will cover you while on site

• Preferred experience in treating patients with work related injuries

Responsibilities

• Treat patients on site at Concentra for approximately a 4-hour shift on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
• Provide specialist services, both non-surgical and surgical, for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work related injuries.
• Communicate with employers and take an active role in case management.
• Manage medically complex patients.
