About The Position
The SPF Cell Machine Operator is responsible for various tasks in the manufacturing of garage door springs according to customer and product specifications. This role involves setting up and operating equipment, selecting robot program options, monitoring workflow through heat treatment, changing over tooling, unloading finished product, and meeting performance indicators. The operator will also utilize computers for task completion, perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting, and complete daily clean-up and 5S responsibilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Computer programming aptitude for robotic and automated equipment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in using hand and measurement tools.
- High level of attention to detail, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Dependability and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Set-up and operate equipment.
- Select robot program options according to production requirements.
- Monitor workflow through heat treatment process.
- Change over and ensure proper tooling is used according to specifications.
- Unload finished product onto pallets and/or racks ensuring proper quantities are in bundles.
- Consistently meet or exceed established key performance indicators.
- Utilize computers at different points in the process to complete required tasks.
- Complete preventive maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Complete daily clean up and 5S responsibilities.
