About The Position
Connect Pediatrics is looking for a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join their team in the Frisco, Texas area. This role involves providing in-home therapy services for pediatric patients with a wide range of diagnoses. The assistant will engage with patients' families, providing regular communication and updates on goals for their child. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including other therapy disciplines, physicians, and nurses, is essential for developing holistic treatment plans. Maintaining comprehensive documentation and actively participating in care plan discussions with team leads/supervisors are also key responsibilities. Requirements
- A current, valid Texas SLP Assistant License (No clinical deficiency needs)
- Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
- BLS/CPR certification
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric experience is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home therapy services for pediatric patients with a wide range of diagnoses.
- Engage with patients' families, providing them with regular communication and updates on goals for their child.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other therapy disciplines, physicians, and nurses, to develop holistic treatment plans that address the diverse needs of each patient.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation that reflects the care provided and communicates changes in treatment plans to the entire healthcare team.
- Actively participate in care plan with team leads/supervisor to discuss patient progress, share insights, and refine treatment strategies collaboratively.
