Speech Therapist (Pediatrics)
About The Position
Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is a full-service, non-profit Catholic hospital, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and a member of Trinity Health. This position is for the Family Life Center and aims to create a distinctive and exceptional therapeutic space for infants and children to improve their health and quality of life. The role will focus on improving access and opportunity for children from poor communities with limited resources to enhance health equity and decrease disparities. The therapist will design and implement programs to address individual child needs, increase overall function and participation, and monitor individualized assessments, treatment plans, progress assessments, and goals with family input to achieve optimal function, movement, and injury prevention.
Requirements
- Florida state licensure in State of Florida is required.
- MA/MS degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required.
- Must currently hold or be in the process of completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).

- Pediatric experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations with thoroughness and efficiency, including appropriate tests and measurements.
- Set functional, realistic, and measurable goals and ensure the patient demonstrates consistent achievement of those goals.
- Design a functional treatment plan that is reflective of prescribed therapy and incorporates applicable reimbursement issues.
- Re-evaluate and discharge patients within appropriate time frames.
