About The Position
The Speech Therapist will provide student-related services as specified in the student's IEP, including on-site therapy, participation in IEP meetings, and development of therapy plans and reports. This role also involves parent/guardian involvement, monthly invoicing, and training local ESS staff as needed.
Requirements
- Must provide a master’s degree in Speech Therapist from an accredited institution.
- Must provide current State of New Mexico License/Certifications in Speech Therapist.
- Must provide key personnel’s resume demonstrating experience as a special education teacher.
- Must provide a signed letter of commitment confirming availability upon approval by the BIE.
- Must successfully complete the required background investigation and security screening.
- Must provide experience of work similar in size and scope to this requirement.
Responsibilities
- Provide student related services as specified in the student’s IEP.
- Provide on-site Speech Therapy services.
- Participate in all student IEP meetings in-person or virtually.
- Provide therapy plans for review and alignment of services to be rendered.
- Provide written reports for the Individual Education Plans.
- Submit quarterly progress reports and service logs.
- Complete full summative reports for reevaluations or evaluations.
- Provide parent/guardian involvement and answer questions related to student services.
- Provide monthly invoices and documentation of services rendered.
- Train local ESS staff as needed upon request.
