About The Position
This position involves providing speech therapy services in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting. The role requires evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders. The therapist will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, managing dysphagia, providing cognitive-communication therapy, and educating patients. Strong clinical documentation, discharge planning, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills are essential.
Requirements
- Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required.
- Recent Speech-Language Pathology experience required.
- Ability to assess patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
- Strong clinical documentation, discharge planning, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
Nice To Haves
- SNF/LTC or rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Experience with dysphagia management, cognitive-communication therapy, and patient education preferred.
