About The Position

Packers Staffing is hiring a Speech Therapist (SLP) to plan, organize, develop, and direct Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as direction from the Administrator. The role is intended to help maintain the highest quality of resident care. The position floats between Waters Edge Health and Rehab and Sheridan Health and Rehab in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and is listed as full-time with flexible scheduling or per diem/PRN.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
Certificate of Clinical Competency.
Active SLP license in the state or states of practice.
Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

Provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, following established practice standards, department procedures, and productivity standards.
Evaluate patients and obtain the data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
Develop treatment plans that include target lists and short- and long-term goals.
Instruct patients, families, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to support therapeutic carryover and goals in daily activities.
Complete compliant, medically necessary documentation aligned with CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems.
Oversee and implement appropriate protocols for FEES/MBS in coordination with site programs.
Participate in screening protocols to ensure residents’ needs are met promptly and with clinical excellence.
