Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state where services are provided
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Nice To Haves
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred or required based on state regulations
- Home health or community-based experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate speech, language, communication, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve communication and swallowing function
- Assess and treat patients experiencing speech, language, cognitive, and dysphagia-related challenges resulting from illness, injury, or neurological conditions
- Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on treatment strategies and home exercise programs
- Recommend communication aids, adaptive devices, and compensatory strategies as appropriate
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Communicate changes in patient condition and treatment response to the physician and Director of Nursing
- Complete accurate clinical documentation, progress reports, and discharge summaries in a timely manner
- Treat clients, families, caregivers, and team members with professionalism, courtesy, and respect
