Speech Pathologist Non-Exempt
About The Position
HSS Rehab and Performance is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated speech language pathologist to join our renowned Speech Therapy Team at HSS. As an integral part of our Pediatric Rehabilitation Team, you will be responsible for performing pediatric outpatient evaluations and treatment, catering to young patients with diverse speech, language, and feeding conditions. Collaborative work with our pediatric physical and occupational therapists is key. This role will encompass direct patient care as well as education of patients/families in plan of care and cutting-edge rehabilitation techniques. Additionally, you will also engage in bedside swallow assessments and inpatient treatment within the acute care unit for both the pediatric and adult populations.
Requirements
- Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association.
- NYS Certification as Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).
- New York State license SLP licensure.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience preferred.
- Emphasis on working with a variety of pediatric diagnoses.
- Experience with adult patients with swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities
