This position works as part of an interdisciplinary team and is assigned a NYS licensed and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist clinical supervisor who provides guidance to satisfy requirements for both licensure and completion of the ASHA Clinical Fellowship (CFY).

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited training institution required or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to operate standard office machines and office computer programs (e.g. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint) required
• Ability to learn computer programs related to electronic medical records and charge capture/schedule systems required
• Basic operating knowledge of standard diagnostic and rehabilitative procedures and related test equipment/materials used in Speech Pathology required
• Ability to pass required mandatory in-service and staff competency training, which may include FIM administration required
• NYS interim licensure in Speech-Language Pathology, or proven eligibility for licensure upon hire required

Responsibilities

• Completes the evaluation/assessment of multiple acquired conditions that impact communication abilities.
• Designs and implements an appropriate plan of care for treatment and revisions to meet a patient’s individual needs.
• Provides rehabilitative services to a wide range of acquired impairments in the areas of communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders.
• Prepares clinical reports and departmental paperwork as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
