Corewell Health Hospital Trenton is a 193-bed acute care teaching hospital that sponsors nine university-affiliated residency programs. The hospital opened its doors to Trenton and its surrounding communities in 1961. It became part of Corewell Health in September 2014. In addition to providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for its patients, the hospital offers all private beds, a medical and surgical intensive care unit and obstetrical care. This role provides individualized patient care that assesses and treats speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, voice, fluency and swallowing disorders in children and adults per physician referral. Is responsible to evaluate referred patients, establish patient and family centered goals and develop and execute treatment plans to promote or maximize independence in the discharged setting. Also participates in performance improvement and educational opportunities that promote the growth and development of the department and profession.
