About The Position

This is an outpatient speech-language pathologist position at Riley Hospital for Children with a caseload focused on evaluation and treatment complex pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. Demonstrated training and experience with pediatric feeding disorders required while performing speech pathology services including diagnostic evaluations to determine level of impairment. After administering the appropriate tests and measures, a treatment plan is designed for improved communication and swallowing. Performs direct patient care services including the supervision of support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree from an accredited academic program in speech pathology; or, if foreign trained, graduation from a speech pathology education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
  • Current license in the State of Indiana.
  • Certificate of clinical competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for this certificate.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Nice To Haves

  • CCC-SLP preferred.
  • Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
