About The Position

The Speech Pathologist position at MultiCare offers an exciting opportunity to provide clinical services and communication with patients, families, and other professionals/service providers in the medical community. This professional role allows you to apply your extensive knowledge and expertise in speech pathology with all of your patients. This is a per diem role requiring flexibility and a fast-paced approach, with a preference for candidates with an Acute Therapy background. The role involves coverage at both Auburn and Covington Medical Center locations, requiring EPIC experience and a commitment to working a minimum of 4 dates per month, including potential weekend rotations. PRN staff are also expected to work a minimum of 1 holiday per year and maintain all annual education requirements.

Requirements

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association OR be in the process of completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with supervision by a CCC-SLP in accordance with standards defined by the ASHA.
Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Washington or holding an interim permit.
Current BLS Certification required.
EPIC experience.
Ability to work a minimum of 4 dates per month, to include potential weekend rotation.
Ability to work a minimum of 1 holiday per year.

Nice To Haves

Acute Therapy background.
Previous Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities

Provide assessment, interpretation, and reporting of clinical observations.
Perform patient assessments with physician and develop treatment plans.
Perform and interpret results of Videofluoroscopic swallow studies and fiberoptic endoscopic of swallowing.
Confer with physician and other health care professionals.
