About The Position

The Speech Pathologist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment to patients. Will provide direct patient care and will monitor and report the patient’s progress. The Speech Pathologist performs speech-language, cognitive, or dysphagia treatments on a one-to-one or group basis. Access to Medication Room is required to perform the assigned job function. Completes required documentation and provides appropriate patient and/or family teaching. Will also participate in staff management, cost management, and professional practice activities. This position is responsible for maintaining certification and/or licensure, achieving all continuing education requirements, demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech Pathology Program.
  • Current license in State of Ohio to practice speech pathology.
  • Maintain CEUs for licensure renewal.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Certificate of clinical competence awarded by ASHA.
  • Demonstrates knowledge base and skill in providing age specific care.
  • Possesses team-focused attributes.
  • Works scheduled hours as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of one-year experience.
