Under the direction of the Director or Rehab, the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) communicates and collaborates with physicians and other members of the health care team to provide consistent quality care for inpatients. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the SLP accepts responsibility for patient care during evaluation and treatment of all speech therapy related conditions. The SLP works within the framework of the Speech and Hearing board of CA Practice Act and follows all department and hospital policies and procedures. He/She complies with all hospital standards and therapy related clinical practice guidelines while performing job duties and responsibilities.
