About The Position

Provide quality, goal-directed Speech and Language Pathology evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning to patients across a variety of age groups who have cognitive, communication, and/or swallowing disabilities. This is a per diem, day-shift position at The Valley Hospital in Paramus, New Jersey.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences, Communication Disorders, or a related area from an accredited college or university.
Current certification by the American Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ASHA) in Speech-Language Pathology.
Current New Jersey state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
Current BLS certification.
Ability to perform work accurately and attend to details.
Effective critical-thinking and analytical skills.
Effective time-management skills, including setting priorities and performing job-related responsibilities.
Ability to communicate and interact with the health system, patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members.
Ability to function competently in a changing work environment as patient needs change.
