Requirements

  • Masters in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in acute care speech-language pathology, barium swallow studies, and speech/swallowing evaluations.
  • BLS, required.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively.
  • Provide excellent customer service and have consistent professional etiquette.
  • Assess, diagnosis, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Work as part of a collaborative team in a health care setting.
  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services.
  • Maintain department QI program and statistics and participates in house wide initiatives.
  • Provide speech therapy modalities to all age groups, pediatric through geriatrics.
  • Investigates and reports concerns timely and informs Chief Nursing Officer.
