Atlantic Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate, fully licensed Speech Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join our award-winning acute-care team at Chilton Medical Center. This position is for weekends and holidays only - for a minimum of four hours, from 8a-12p. Requirements

  • Fully licensed Speech Pathologist (CCC-SLP)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing a full range of speech pathology services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.
  • The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem-solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion.
  • Evaluating and diagnosing speech and language skills as related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
  • Planning, directing, or conducting rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication problems of organic and nonorganic etiology.
  • Providing counseling and guidance and language development therapy to disabled individuals.
  • Reviewing individual file to obtain background information prior to evaluation to determine appropriate tests and to ensure that adequate information is available.
  • Developing and implementing individualized plans for assigned clients to meet individual needs, interests, and abilities.
  • Evaluating and monitoring individuals, using audiovisual equipment. Reviews treatment plans and assesses individual performance to modify, change, or write new programs.
  • Maintaining records as required by law, establishment's policy, and administrative regulations.
  • Attending meetings and conferences and participates in other activities to promote professional growth.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
