About The Position

Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Dignity Health, is seeking a Speech Pathologist (SLP) to join their team. This role is crucial in providing exceptional patient care within their rehabilitation programs, which offer specialized treatment for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. The hospital is a state-of-the-art, 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation facility dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals with severe injuries or illnesses.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current SLP license and ASHA certification.
• CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in acute or rehab setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
