The Speech Pathologist's primary role is to identify children with speech, language, hearing, or other communication disorders and to develop and implement effective speech/language therapy programs for these children. This position involves assisting in the identification of students with communication impairments, providing guidance to teachers, interpreting diagnostic results, and writing reports. The role also includes selecting and administering appropriate assessment tools, conducting evaluations, and participating in program placement and dismissal decisions. A key responsibility is designing and delivering individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs and collaborating with educators to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom. The Speech Pathologist will monitor student progress, assess performance at regular intervals, and report findings as required. Other job-related duties may also be assigned.
