The Speech Pathologist is responsible for diagnosing and providing therapy for patients of all ages (neonates, infants, toddlers, school-age children, adolescents, young adults, and adults) who demonstrate disorders of communication and swallowing. This role involves planning, organizing, and coordinating the care of assigned cases. In consultation with other professionals, the Speech Pathologist selects outcome goals and skilled interventions, and effectively utilizes agency and community resources to achieve patient and family independence with patient care in the patient's residence.
