About The Position

UW Medical Center-Montlake – Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Audiologist Specialist 1. This role involves independently planning, directing, and administering evaluation and intervention for patients throughout the medical center. The specialist will assess and treat routine patients utilizing their training in the evaluation and treatment process, while also seeking mentorship for complex diagnoses. Collaboration with other disciplines is key to ensure continuity of patient care from admission to discharge. The position also includes participation in program development, quality improvement tasks, ensuring accurate and timely patient charge and documentation entry, and engaging in departmental and organizational training programs related to infection control, equipment, compliance, safety, and education.

Requirements

Licensed by the State of Washington as an Audiologist.
A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

Independently plan, direct and administer evaluation and intervention to patients throughout the medical center.
Assess and treat a routine patient utilizing training in the evaluation and treatment process.
Seek mentorship and training in the evaluation and treatment of patients with complex diagnoses.
Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and function.
Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission to discharge.
Participate in program development and quality improvement tasks.
Ensure that patient charges and documentation are accurate and entered on a timely basis.
Participate in infection control, equipment training, compliance, safety and educational programs, both at the departmental and organization level.
