Under the supervision of a New York State licensed Speech Language Pathologist, this role provides intensive speech and language, feeding, and/or Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) services and therapy to an assigned caseload. The position involves developing and implementing therapeutic interventions, assessing and developing plans for communication, AAC, oral motor, and feeding needs, and evaluating, documenting, and monitoring treatment progress. The role also requires collaboration with parents, medical professionals, administrators, teachers, and other related service providers to ensure comprehensive educational plans meet individual student needs. The Clinical Fellow will also track hours, meet with their supervisor, adhere to CFY protocols, and follow the scope of practice outlined by ASHA. Additional duties may include documenting medical necessity for AAC devices and providing substitute teaching coverage as needed.
