Position Overview As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you will provide direct speech and language support services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. You'll help students strengthen communication skills that support learning, confidence, independence, and participation in the classroom and beyond. This is an onsite, school-based role with strong mentorship, leadership support, and opportunities for professional development.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher from an accredited SLPA program
  • Current SLPA license or eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within school teams
  • Passion for helping children succeed

Nice To Haves

  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience
  • Experience supporting students with diverse communication needs

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students across district schools
  • Implement treatment plans and IEP goals developed by supervising SLPs
  • Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, and communication challenges
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, therapists, and families
  • Assist in creating positive, engaging learning environments
  • Support student participation in academic and social settings
  • Follow state, district, and professional compliance guidelines
