Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
About The Position
NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans. This role is for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in Santa Barbara, CA, working with a 12-patient Adult Residential Facility for neuro patients. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of speech therapy assistant with a Bachelors Degree
- California SLPA licensure.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task.
Responsibilities
- Administer the speech therapy treatment plan as developed by the Speech Language Pathologist.
- Apply concepts of infection control and standard precautions in performing patient care activities.
- Accept clinical assignments that are consistent with the education and competence to care for the patients.
- Use effective interpersonal relations and communication skills
- Meet mandatory continuing education requirements
- Promote compliance with all fiscal intermediary and/or other third party payers, through education, coaching and other assistance as necessary
- Demonstrate commitment, professional growth and competency
- Perform other related duties and activities as required.
