About The Position

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant I provides direct patient and family centered care which includes treatment planning based on functional needs. Works with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and adjust treatment plan as necessary. May participate in department-wide process improvement initiatives and program development.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Speech Language Pathology Assistant Program; Associates Degree.
  • Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • CA Speech Language Pathology Assistant License.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical Affiliation in Pediatrics
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in related field.
