About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is hiring a PRN Speech Language Pathologist for a 160-bed skilled nursing facility in El Paso, Texas. The role involves evaluating and treating speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, documenting care, and collaborating with healthcare providers. The position offers hourly compensation of $57–$60. Requirements
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or eligibility for licensure.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), CCC-SLP.
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations, and develop diagnoses based on assessment results.
- Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans.
- Educate and support patients and families about disorders, treatment strategies, and ways to improve daily communication.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to support effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
