About The Position

HealthPro Heritage has a great Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity for part-time and PRN positions. This role is located in a long-term care setting at Mt. Carmel Nursing and Rehab Center in Manchester, NH. The opportunity allows for treating a variety of communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in both short-term rehab and long-term care residents within an interdisciplinary rehab environment. The position is in a nonprofit, mission-driven setting focused on person-centered and compassionate care, offering a consistent caseload and strong clinical experience with geriatric populations.

Requirements

Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
