About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is seeking dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for the 26-27 school year with a wonderful local district in Burnsville, North Carolina. You’ll support students by providing speech and language services that directly impact communication and learning. This role is ideal for both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs), with strong mentorship provided. Ampersand Therapy is a women- and therapist-operated company built by providers who understand school-based work. We focus on support and mentorship so clinicians can do their best work. Requirements

• Licensure from the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
• Eligibility for North Carolina licensure as a speech-language pathologist through the Department of Public Instruction
• Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

• Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply
• School-based experience preferred, not required

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy services in a K-12 school setting
• Conduct assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports
• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
• Support students with articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
• Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
