About The Position
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at The Arc Wayne in Newark, NY will be an integral part in providing Clinical Consultation and Speech Therapy Services for the Article 16 Clinic in Orleans/Genesee County. The role involves researching and recommending speech communication devices and other related technology, maintaining confidentiality, and completing timely and accurate service documentation. The position may also involve clinical supervision and oversight of unlicensed fellowship students in Speech Pathology, ensuring professional conduct consistent with the agency's culture, mission, values, procedures, and policies.
Requirements
- New York State (NYS) Speech Language Pathologist License
- Current, valid New York State Driver License
- Effective time management and organization skills to meet deadlines

Responsibilities
- Researches and recommends speech communication devices and other related technology
- Maintains confidentiality regarding information regarding service recipients
- Completes timely and accurate service documentation as per clinic and agency policies and procedures to include; progress notes, evaluations, treatment plans, etc...
- May provide clinical supervision and oversight to unlicensed fellowship students in the area of Speech Pathology
- Ensures that conduct while on duty is professional and consistent with the Agency's culture, mission, values, procedures and policies.
