About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a school-based position supporting elementary students by providing speech and language services that directly impact communication and learning. This role is ideal for both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs), with strong mentorship provided. The position is with Northbrook-Glenview School District 30, focusing on an elementary school caseload at a single school site. It is a full-time position (1.0 FTE) with a Monday-Friday schedule, starting in August 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year.

Requirements

• Valid Illinois State SLP license (or ability to obtain)
• Illinois PEL with School SLP endorsement
• Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

• Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply
• School-based experience preferred, not required

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy services in a school setting
• Conduct assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports
• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
• Support students with articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
• Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
