About The Position
We are seeking two full-time Speech Language Pathologists to provide school-based services to elementary students in Wayne County, Michigan. One position will primarily serve students in a K–3 building. The Speech Language Pathologists will assess students' communication needs, provide individualized therapy, and collaborate with educators and families to support student success. Requirements
- Active state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum of 6 months of recent SLP experience within the last 5 years
- Knowledge of IEP processes and special education services.
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Provide individual and small-group speech and language services.
- Develop and monitor speech and language goals within students' IEPs.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers.
- Provide strategies and recommendations to support communication skills in the classroom.
- Maintain compliance with school, district, and state requirements.
