About The Position

Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Home Care | Wareham, MA | New competitive rates, earn up to $160/visit! Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our growing home healthcare team in Wareham, Massachusetts. As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled speech, language, communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing services directly in patients’ homes. You’ll work closely with patients and their care teams to promote functional communication, swallowing safety, independence, and quality of life. Home care offers a unique opportunity to get to know your patients and make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Each visit is different, and you’ll have the autonomy to provide individualized care based on each patient’s needs.

Requirements

Current Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience
Afternoon availability

Responsibilities

Providing comprehensive speech and language evaluations
Assessing communication, speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
Developing individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs
Educating patients and caregivers regarding communication strategies, swallowing safety, and appropriate compensatory techniques
Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed
Collaborating with physicians and other members of the care team
Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation
