About The Position

Behavior One Autism Solutions is seeking a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech services to clients in Orange County. The role involves working with children on the Autism Spectrum and those needing speech services, implementing treatment plans, collaborating with clinical teams and caregivers, and developing individualized intervention plans. Services can be delivered in-clinic and potentially in home settings.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Certified as a Speech Language Pathologist with a license certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association by state in which practicing and/or Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Experience with ages 3 and under
• Familiar with Regional Center of Orange County program (Knowledge writing proposals for Regional Center)
• One year of related experience (monitoring and observing behavior; collecting and recording behavioral observations in a treatment setting; implementing behavior management plans; assisting with the administration and scoring of developmental assessments)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong monitoring and active listening skills
• Critical thinking and attention to detail
• Proficiency in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation
• Experience working with sensitive and personal patient records and information
• Collaborative with clients' clinical team

• Willingness to drive to client's houses for sessions

Responsibilities

• Assessing and treating clients with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
• Implementing treatment plans for problems such as stuttering, delayed language, swallowing disorders, or inappropriate pitch or harsh voice problems.
• Coordinating with Regional Center Service Coordinators, clinical team, and other health care providers.
• Generating comprehensive documentation, including session notes, timesheets, and clinical reports.
• Evaluating hearing and/or speech and language test results.
• Educating patients and family members about communication techniques to cope with impairments.
• Instructing clients with techniques for more effective communication, such as sign language, lip reading, or voice improvement.
• Collaborating with the client's clinical team and caregivers to develop and implement comprehensive and individualized intervention plans.
