We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. We offer over 30 outpatient locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology, women’s health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language, we are known for our commitment to high quality, customer focused outcomes. We’re seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for our outpatient office in North Haven. The ideal candidate will have interest in treating adult populations with diagnoses including stroke, Neuromuscular Disorders (Parkinson's, MS) and Concussion. Evaluation and treatment will primarily include speech and language, motor speech and cognitive-communication with some dysphagia as well. This clinic is open M-TH from 7am-7pm and Fridays 7am-3:30pm. The ideal candidate would be able to provide two days of coverage for at least 3 hours.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year post-graduate clinical experience required
- Completion of a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited academic program.
- State of Connecticut License in Speech-Language Pathology.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.

- outpatient experience with adult populations preferred
Responsibilities
- The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) independently evaluates patient’s level of function and determines, develops, and implements individualized treatment goals and plans in alignment with the patient/caregiver goals.
- The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) determines treatment strategies and delivers Speech Language Therapy services that identify, restore, and rehabilitate disorders of communication, cognition and swallowing to maximize a patient’s safety and independence.
