About The Position

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible to the Manager. As an interdisciplinary team member the therapist is required to assess, diagnose and treat children. Requirements

Master of Speech Language Pathology (SLP)
Registered as SALSPA
Must upload all relevant documents (ex: certificates, diplomas, proof of enrollment, licenses and/or memberships) relating to the qualifications of the position.
Must bring a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) to the interview; it must be dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search.

Nice To Haves

Experience and training with the Hanen Program is preferred.
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.

Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose and treat children.
Provide direction to staff speech language pathologists.
Promote professional development of staff and engender job satisfaction.
Work with young children individually and in small groups.
Utilize knowledge of resources available to 0-5 population and caregivers in urban area.
Apply knowledge of needs of young children and social and environmental factors.
Apply significant experience in adult population in context of complex medical needs.
