About The Position

We are seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide rehabilitative care in an inpatient correctional setting. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with communication and swallowing disorders while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patient rehabilitation and functional independence.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in inpatient rehab or similar clinical setting preferred
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative therapy programs
• Recommend additional services and interventions based on patient needs
• Conduct special education assessments and present findings when required
• Select and implement alternative communication systems and train patients in their use
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and support staff to ensure coordinated care
• Participate in research or quality improvement initiatives related to speech and language therapy
