About The Position

HealthPro Heritage has a great Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity. This is a part-time position requiring 10-15 hours per week, spread across 4-5 days, with some flexibility in scheduling. The role is located in a senior living setting at Belmont Village St. Matthews in Louisville, KY. The SLP will work in a beautiful, upscale senior living community with a welcoming, resident-centered atmosphere, building meaningful relationships with residents and their families. The position offers a diverse caseload, including assisted living and memory care residents, allowing for the use of a wide range of clinical skills. The SLP will make a direct impact on residents' communication, cognition, and swallowing abilities to improve their quality of life. Collaboration with an experienced interdisciplinary team including PTs, OTs, nursing, and wellness staff is expected. Requirements

Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
Treatment and Education: Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
