About The Position
Adelphi is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide in-person speech-language pathology services to students within a school district in Wilmington, North Carolina. The Speech-Language Pathologist will evaluate students, provide individual and group therapy, develop treatment plans, participate in IEP activities, and collaborate with families and school personnel to support students’ communication needs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Knowledge of assessments, IEPs, treatment planning, and progress monitoring.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Successful completion of required background checks and fingerprinting.
Nice To Haves
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred.
- Clinical Fellows may be considered with appropriate supervision.
Responsibilities
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals.
- Provide individual and group speech-language therapy.
- Monitor and document student progress.
- Maintain accurate service records and Medicaid-related documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings, conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Consult with teachers, families, and other school personnel.
- Recommend appropriate referrals, accommodations, and communication strategies.
- Comply with District policies, confidentiality requirements, and professional standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
