About The Position

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an inpatient assignment. The SLP will provide comprehensive speech, language, swallowing, and dysphagia services to hospitalized patients while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Requirements

• Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) credentials and required state licensure.
• Strong inpatient clinical experience.
• Experience performing video swallow studies and bedside swallow evaluations.
• Demonstrated experience with dysphagia management.
• Previous travel experience required.
• Strong communication, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Reside beyond a 50-mile radius of the facility location.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive bedside swallow evaluations.
• Conduct and interpret video swallow studies.
• Assess and manage patients with dysphagia and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Monitor patient progress and modify interventions as appropriate.
• Provide patient and family education regarding swallowing safety and treatment recommendations.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow established patient-safety, infection-control, and clinical standards.
