Requirements

Current Speech-Language Pathology license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for providing high-quality, resident-centered care.

Nice To Haves

Experience with geriatric populations is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice and swallowing evaluations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Educate residents, families, and staff on treatment strategies and communication techniques.
Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory and organizational guidelines.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support resident-centered care.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
Participate in care planning and team meetings.
