About The Position

Anne Carlsen Center is a nonprofit organization that has provided supports and services for 80 years to individuals in North Dakota with developmental disabilities or delays. Its mission is to make independence a gift for all. The Speech Language Pathologist assesses, plans, organizes, develops, and implements pediatric speech-language pathology therapy services for individual clients and outside contract services. The role creates individualized treatment plans based on clients’ needs and circumstances, meets with clients regularly to provide counseling and treatment, and adjusts treatment plans as needed. The position is based in Fargo, North Dakota, with a Monday–Friday schedule of 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. and varying hours. The position may be full- or part-time, with up to 40 weekly hours, and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Master’s degree from an ASHA-accredited program.
Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or CFY, or eligibility for or evidence of application for licensure.
Have or be eligible for ASHA membership.
Valid North Dakota Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

Three years’ experience in pediatric speech-language pathology or working with an intellectually/developmentally disabled population.
Knowledge of payment sources and systems related to speech-language pathology.
Experience collaborating with ABA programming.
One year of experience with assistive technology.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, organize, develop, and implement pediatric speech-language pathology therapy services for individual clients and outside contract services.
Create individualized treatment plans according to clients’ needs and circumstances.
Meet regularly with clients to provide counseling and treatment.
Adjust treatment plans as necessary.
