About The Position

This position is for a Speech-Language Pathologist working day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a guaranteed 35 hours per week. The Speech-Language Pathologist provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients experiencing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The role focuses on improving patients’ ability to communicate effectively and safely manage swallowing functions following injury, illness, neurological conditions, or other medical complications. The SLP will work with patients across a variety of rehabilitation needs and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. The position requires strong clinical evaluation skills and the ability to develop individualized treatment plans that support patient recovery and improve overall quality of life.

Requirements

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the appropriate state.
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Knowledge of speech and language disorders, cognitive-communication deficits, and dysphagia management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Experience documenting evaluations and therapy sessions within electronic medical record systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association as a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (may be required depending on state regulations).
  • Previous experience in a rehabilitation, hospital, or skilled nursing environment.
