About The Position

HealthPro Heritage has a great Speech-Language Pathologist (PRN) Opportunity. This PRN position offers flexible scheduling, allowing you to pick your hours. The role is located in Cedar Grove in Parkersburg, WV, within an Assisted Living setting. The environment is a supportive senior living community focused on independence and quality of life, with on-site rehab services for swallowing, communication, and cognitive support. You will have diverse caseloads including cognitive, swallowing, and functional communication, and will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for holistic resident care. Requirements

  • Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

  • Compact License in WV and OH is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
  • Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
  • Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
