Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Valid Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain one
Valid Washington Educational Staff Associate certificate or eligibility to obtain one
Must have current fingerprints on file with OSPI or be willing to complete

Nice To Haves

Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
Provide individualized and small-group speech and language therapy
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Create measurable goals based on students’ communication needs
Track student progress and maintain accurate service documentation
Prepare evaluation reports, progress reports, and other required records
Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team planning
Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers
Provide consultation and communication strategies to classroom staff and families
Support students with a variety of speech, language, communication, fluency, and voice needs
Ensure services comply with state, federal, and district requirements
