About The Position
Vasona Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and professional Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our clinical team full-time. In this role, you will evaluate and treat residents to enhance their quality of life through communication, cognitive, and swallowing therapy. You will act as a vital link between residents, families, and the interdisciplinary medical team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Valid Speech Therapist license in the state of California in good standing.
- Proficiency in healthcare software such as Net Health and Point Click Care.
- CPR certification (if required by licensure) and meeting all state continuing education requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents to determine therapy needs, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential.
- Develop and implement individualized plans focused on improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
- Maintain timely and compliant medical records in accordance with facility and governmental standards.
- Communicate progress with physicians and nursing staff; participate in Resident Care and Utilization Review meetings.
- Provide ongoing in-services for facility staff and assist with training Restorative Aides.
- Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFY) or students in accordance with the state practice act.
