About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide care to inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and outpatient patients ranging from infant through geriatric populations. This role involves assessing and treating patients with speech, language, and oral/pharyngeal sensory-motor disorders while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Requirements
- Current Kentucky Speech Language Pathologist license
- BLS certification required after hire
- At least 1 year of travel experience
- Must be agreeable to a 48-hour/week contract
- Experience in IPR and acute care required
Nice To Haves
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Pediatric and adult experience preferred for outpatient rehab
- Experience covering acute care and inpatient rehab weekends/holidays preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, swallowing, and sensory-motor disorders
- Develop, implement, review, and revise individualized treatment plans
- Provide care to inpatient and outpatient populations across all ages
- Complete all required documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, physician reports, billing, coding, and pre-authorizations
